RIPON, Wis. — Farspeak Labs LLC today announced the general availability of RoastConsole, software that runs a coffee roastery as one system, from the roast log to the invoice, sold as one plan that includes every feature. The company was founded by Jenaro Lopez and Ryan Prellwitz, both working roasters, with Micah Schoff building the software alongside them. Jenaro Lopez is a consultant at Seam Coffee, a large roastery in Johannesburg; Prellwitz and Schoff roast at Companön Coffee Roastery, a small one in Ripon.
Most roastery software is sold in pieces. Roast profiling is one product, inventory and production another, wholesale ordering a third, each priced by seat, machine, or feature tier. A small roastery ends up with several subscriptions and a spreadsheet holding them together, typing the same facts in more than once and working out what a batch actually cost by hand.
RoastConsole was built the other way around: one record first, then the tools that read and write it. The roaster logs a batch in RoastConsole Pilot, a free Mac application that connects to the machine and draws the curve live. That batch lands in the system attached to the green lot that went in and the roasted stock that came out, and production is planned against that stock. A new account moves from lead to first order in the same CRM, reorders through a client portal, and is invoiced from the same record, with payments and accounting connected to the services the roastery already uses. Nobody re-enters a number.
Because the record is shared, the company prices it as one thing. One plan includes every feature, every team member, and every roaster, starting at $79 per month and scaling with roasted volume. There are no seats, tiers, or add-ons, and full pricing is published at roastconsole.com/pricing.
Pilot imports existing profiles from Cropster, Artisan, and RoastPATH, and is free on the Mac App Store, as is RoastConsole Mobile for iPhone. A 14-day trial of the full system requires no credit card. Farspeak Labs has also published six free calculators for roasters at roastconsole.com/tools.
